Note; even though this thread is for both, you can only have one high spot.Since this site is new, we don't have the high spots occupied yet. To lay claim to one of these magnificent titles, you've got to audition. What you do is simple. Make a bio, fill out the following code, make sure it doesn't look like you pulled it together in 5 minutes, and wait. The leader's RPer, in this case ~Resonance, will make the decision on who gets the spot. There is no end to the auditions, nor is it first come first serve. The leader decides, and that's that. However, if you want to try out for a medicine cat apprentice, that is up to the medicine cat. You need to have that cleared with the MC before you can get accepted. Step one. Look at this lovely code. You'll be filling it out very soon. Username: Cat's name: Link to bio: Position: Roleplay example: Step Two.Understand the code. Your username is the name you use to log in The cat's name is just the name of the cat you want for the high position Obviously, this means put the link to the bio in this section. Nothing fancy, just copy and paste the URL. The position section is simple: do you want your cat for the deputy position or the medicine cat position? Your RP example is very, very important. You should spend a lot of time on this, as much as you would a bio. The example has to be centered around the cat that you're using for the position, but other cats can be involved in it. Step Three.Fill out the code and reply to this thread. Take your time, because the better it is, the more chance you have of getting the spot. Good luck ^^

U S E R N A M E: ember C A T ' S . N A M E: Falconspirit L i N K . T O . B i O: Here P O S i T i O N: Deputy R O L E P L A Y . E X A M P L E: (. DONE! and a record of 1,300 words! WOOT! .)
Lonefire grinned slightly, completely prepared for the mysterious cat’s answer. His claws, which were busily stripping the fish of its scales, stopped momentarily as he took in the answer and thought about it, as well as the request for information about himself. Frankly, he had expected her to guard such things, as after all, the past is a very powerful thing. All though he would have liked to know more about Destiny - no, there was something more than just a simple curiosity, something he could not quite put his paw on yet - the answer still seized his interest and magnified it far beyond what it was before. She had made it extremely obvious that she had at least a slightly interesting past life; otherwise, she would not be so prudent that no one should know it. Nor was he willing to share his life story, to an extent, at least. It was the opposite of extraordinary, and forthrightly a tad tragic. His mother dead before he even knew her, his father deserted him… no, his past was not one to gloat about, nor was he one to gloat. However, he had placed himself in a unique situation, one that he probably would not be able to take advantage of if his life did indeed depend on it.
Lonefire was not one to lie, nor was he good at it in any sense of the word at all. Happily, he recognized that he had managed to convince the other cats that he was a Clan cat, be it a young, inexperienced one at that, but that was the extent of his successes as a liar. Honestly, lying made him nervous to an extreme, and sometimes he even let it show, which does not fit in with his quiet, shadowy personality. If he made the wrong move and some other cat noticed, never again would he be able to use that trick again, and there are only so many things a cat can say that will pass. And should a cat not notice the first time, and then you got something wrong later along the way, they would wonder where you got the original information to begin with! Oh, what to say… he pondered to himself, knowing that he would have to think fast. But before he could say anything, that… that thing piped up, and there was an excruciatingly slim chance that he was going to say something nice.
Lonefire shook his head slowly, trying to keep his temper in check. He could tell that he wasn’t about to be mutual friends with that annoying, mousebrained rogue by the name of Amber. First he had made fun of him, and now he was making fun of a large, massive collection of cats that could crush him within a heartbeat. He was going to kill himself! Hardly, barely managing not to slash his claws through Amber and end his pitiful suffering on this planet in one easy swipe, he quoted with a tinge of dignity in his voice “ Stones are raw, they blunt my paw, but words will never hurt me,” a little saying his father had come up with. A saying for kits, but it was true nonetheless. Now he had no choice. He would have to say something that would keep Destiny from straying towards the spiteful rogue. Saying such a saying as he had just said showed that he still had morales, and one of those was to not let beautiful young she-cats fall for spiteful old bone-bags such as Amber.
Would she be worth the effort if she did like Amber? Lonefire thought to himself, thoroughly perplexed at the idea. Any cat who found any part of that rogue’s personality appealing was not the cat for him, nor any other decent tom out there. No, he was sure that Destiny was worth it, even if he was trying to win her simply so Amber would not. But that was so unlike him... Foxdung! he cursed silently to himself. He had come to like the mysterious cat, and there was no escaping her sapphire gaze now, and for the record, he wasn't sure he wanted to. Pausing for effect, he meowed, “ My past is not one that concerns a mousebrain like you,” flicking his tail at Amber, “Nor could your dim intelligence understand even the core of my life.” There was no turning back now - he had made his choice about Destiny - at least for the moment. Amber would have to just suck it up, Lonefire wasn’t the type to give in easily!
Eyes narrowed, Lonefire was pleased with himself. He had stood up to another cat instead of slinking away! Maybe, just maybe, that mystery cat had given him the courage to do so. Maybe he was finally getting rid of the shadow that had haunted him, dictating what to do and turning him into a solitary, lonely cat. Perhaps StarClan shone on him. He didn't care how it had happened, he just cared that it did happen. He could tell that Destiny had her full attention on him, and, StarClan help him, he liked it! Under normal circumstances, he hated any cat's eyes to meet his own, as he would like to avoid seeing any part of another cat all together. Obviously, this was not normal, or he would not even be here at this point talking with other cats. He would have already slunk away into the night, leaving the two cats alone as he pondered his lonely, and frankly boring life that he now led.
His head shivered slightly as the uneasiness returned, wiping away any resistance to the shadow within him. Letting out a small, silent sigh, he knew that he simply was not the type to stand up for anyone, including himself. It had just been a momentary phase, and now it was gone. Destiny would hate him, of that he was sure. Standing up for himself, and then simply slinking away? That was not what a self-respecting tom would do, so if he gave in to the shadow now, no one would like him at all or respect him enough to keep out of his way, and that's all he really asked of other cats. If they found where he had lived his days alone, he simply asked if they would keep it that way, and drive them from his territory without mercy if they decided to get all smart and "This is my territory now" on him. He practiced fighting a lot, and the frequent visitors he got only made him better. He may slink away from a lot of things, but a den was a den, and htat was his and his alone.
Hence, Lonefire was quite torn between two very different emotions and scenarios. On one hand, he could stay here and not leave Destiny here with Amber, which is what his heart desperately wanted to do. If he followed that path, however, he would probably have to fight Amber and he did not want to do that at all. His mind, on the other hand, told him to leave as quickly as possible, and forget about the moon-colored she-cat once and for all. But if he did that, he would lose the respect of the only cat who had ever shown interest in him, and Amber would probably be able to track him down to Lonefire's personal den. Both choices had their consequences and there were certain aspects about both that pleased him...but he had to give in to his heart. He could always leave later, right? Now all he had to do was hide any conflicting feelings from Amber, as that would seem a weakness and lead to a preemptive battle over nothing. Lonefire would simply be defending himself, but he still would be able to defeat the other tom with his claws sheathed, but that would just make him angrier...
Note; The RP example is from SSM - it only uses one cat, so I hope you don't mind. At least I quoted it?!

Username: sunstar Cat's name: Shadowedheart Link to bio: starclanschosenpath.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wcaccepted&action=display&thread=37&page=1Position: Deputy Roleplay example: Shadowedheart's light gold eyes glowed sharply as she looked at the cat in front of her. How could she ever protect this cat? He was nothing to her now. she asked herself. She walked up to the tom and leaned down towards him. "Tell the truth, did you kill my mother or not. And no lying, I would still find out sooner or later." she hissed. She straightened up again, looking at the scared tom. She wanted to know who killed her mother, now. She wouldn't rest untill she did.
When Shadowedheart looked down at the tom, for the first time, in battle, her mother came to her mind. It seemed to tell her that this cat killed her mother. She and the tom fought well in battle, but the tom was getting weaker and weaker. He wouldn't last very long. She stopped, then turned around and kicked him, making him go towards a tree. The tom knew that if he didn't answer the she-cat, he would die, or worse. He wound't have fur anymore. So, he told her the truth, "Yes, I killed you mother, but I didn't know what I was doing. Someone or something was telling me to keep fighting, to not stop until I found you. And then I would have to kill you. But when I say your mother, and thought that you were her." he mewed, still scared of the glare Shadowedheart was giving him. The tom spoke once more, "Shadowedheart, I tryed to stop, but I couldn't. He won't let me." he mewed.
Shadowedheart paused, He? Who would want to control a tom like him? she asked herself. She shook her head the said, "I understand, but if you ever come near my clan again, and try to hurt one of my clan-mates. You will have to deal with me. Do you understand?" she meowed. The tom nodded. Shadowedheart looked down at the tom, and flicked her tail for him to leave. She didn't like the idea of killing another cat, even for her mother.

"I, Fadedstar, say these words before StarClan, that the spirts of our ancestors, and ---, may hear and approve my choice. Falconspirit will be the new deputy of AirClan."
The medicine cat position is still open to anyone who wants to try out!

Username: smokey Cat's name: Dovewing Link to bio: Cat is not made yet. (Heh Dx) Position: Medicine cat Roleplay example: Dovewing put her six-toed paws down in front of her, taking a step to wherever. Here she was, this beautiful cat, as a loner before she came to AirClan. Her ginger tail twitched in disapproval. I hate this life, she murmured as the wind ruffled her white pelt. She was on a quest to find a clan, one that would match her lithe build. Clans...big groups of cats the she-cat noted herself out loud. Dovewing scented the air and a feared expression seized her face. Large dogs...what did Scooter call them? she thought as her rough paw pads carried her swiftly to a tall tree. Releasing her claws, she glided up the tree so neatly. Gingerly, she sat down on a thick branch and began to think what these creatures were. Something with a W...wolverines...wait! Wolves! That's it! her mind squealed. She almost lost balance as the large mutts came into sight. Softly, she climbed up higher to sit on an ever thicker limb. The flea bags stalked closer, their large paws thumping the ground. They were unaware of Dovewing, sitting in the tree a few fox-lengths away from them, just watching as they stumbled around the lush forest, which she was not very comfortable in since she was made for running. One wolf scented the air, still not picking up the she-cat's odor. Mouse-brains, she thought with a snort. The largest of the wolves heard her. Oh no! her mind screeched. Then something came to her. All dogs can't climb! What luck. She sighed with relief, less concerned about the drooling animals below her. Suddenly, the pack charged at the tree, hitting it and making it shake. Dovewing's claws slid out to help her stay balanced. She could not and would not fall to the jaws of death. They did this repeatedly until the one in control decided they couldn't get her. It's head held high, it led it's pack away from that part of the forest. Dovewing's white pelt slowly came out of the tree once she knew she was safe from the killer fangs. Her paws set off in search of the clans once more. Days went by quicker than lightning. Her body was getting weary, as if everything was about to shut down. She had been traveling for almost three whole days without resting or eating. I'm surprised I'm not dead, she thought. Without caution, she collapsed under a shady tree. Three days and I'm still not out of this forest, she thought, loosing hope before she rested her eyes. The she-cat woke to smell prey-scent in front of her nose. Her blue orbs noticed a freshly killed sparrow lying a mouse-length away from her white body. Food! she exclaimed. She dragged her body over to eat and began eating it in famished bites. She was unaware of the approaching cat who had caught the delicious bird. It pounced on Dovewing, which startled her. It was not an older cat like herself. Instead, it was a small tom who was maybe six or seven moons young. He barred is fangs at her soft neck. She flailed and kicked the not full-grown cat off of her and pinned him. Listen up, pipsqueak. I've been traveling for three days without any food or any rest. Now I am NOT going to take anything pathetic from a puny cat like you! she hissed, angrily lashing her tail. The small tom whose coat was brown was flailing under her heavier body. He couldn't manage to push the she-cat's weight off. Out of no where, three cats came bursting through the undergrowth, knocking Dovewing off her paws. A large brown tom pinned her and snarled, What are you doing on our territory? He glared evilly into her blue orbs and she returned the stare. Well I was just passing through, in search of the clans. And I haven't- she got cut off by the tom who was pinning her down. Clans you say? he asked, his tone no longer hostile, but curious. Well, I am from a clan, as are these three behind me. We come from FireClan, he said before she had a chance to reply. Is it open? she asked, hopes sparking up majorily. No, she-cat. This is our territory, the forest. Why? Now Dovewing's faith faded. Because I enjoy the open spaces, but I just despise the forest. I'm sick of it. Is there a clan that has open territory? she asked, wondering for the answer. Yes, actually. AirClan is who you would be suited for. The other cats left, obviously not knowing what to do. The tom supposed they went off to tell their leader about the trespasser. Okay. We have to get you out of her. I'll escort you to AirClan. Wait for a patrol to find you. he told her, his voice gentle. She nodded. With that, she took another big step into finding AirClan and joining them. Minutes later, they reached the border. It was pitiful she had to leave him, but it was for her own sake. And how could I already have feelings for him? she questioned herself in her head. She-cat, before you go, what is your name? I am called Shadedfall. She glanced over her shoulder, hoping a patrol would never come so she could have all the time she wanted with this FireClan tom. M-my name? I think I went by Dove... she mewed, a bit of sadness shaking her voice. It's a beautiful name, he purred. I wish you would stay here, with me. W-what! she thought. I'm sorry, Shadedfall. I cannot bear to stay under the trees any longer. He nodded in understanding, sad expression still on his chestnut brown face. I'll see you around sometimes, right? she asked, hope about to burst out and make her explode. Yes, at gatherings. But you realize we cannot be nothing more than friends, right? he told her, sorrow still flooding his gentle tone. Ohh....well, I'll see you at these 'gatherings' you speak of. Affectionately, she nuzzled the tom and turned away from him, no longer wanting to see his sad expression. She felt his crimson eyes burning into her pelt. Seconds later, the sensation disappeared. What seemed like moons, a patrol came along and found the loner. You. What are you doing so close to AirClan border? a stout she-cat asked. I, Dove, wish to join your clan, she meowed, pride overwhelming her soft toned voice. The she-cat who had spoken to her snorted. I will take you to Fadedstar. I cannot promise you nothing. The stout cat who was a sandy color turned the way camp was and flicked her tail, signaling for the rest of the patrol and Dove to follow. Gingerly, she got up and followed the cats across the moor. Finally! Fresh air! her mind squealed. One of the cats in the patrol ran ahead to report that a newcomer was here to their leader. When the rest of the patrol arrived, Fadedstar was waiting outside his den for them. Hello there, a deep tone rang. I hear you want to join AirClan, correct? he mewed to Dove. She nodded. Very well. I will announce your arrival to the clan. He scurried off from his den and leapt to the High Land, where he called clan meetings. Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath High Land for a clan meeting! The familiar words brought the whole clan out. In a flash, they were all neatly under the High Land, looking up at Fadedstar, waiting for him to speak. He flicked his tail toward Dove, beckoning her forward to sit below the gathering place. Shyly, she slunk out into the clearing and gingerly sat down, aware of all the eyes on her. Today I am here to say that we have a new clan member. Yes, she maybe have just been a cat found out on the border, but truth is, we need more cats. He glanced around noticing the short amount of warriors he had. Dove, please step forward. Hesitating, she tip-toed forward, as she felt the burning of hostile eyes on her once more. Dove, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life? Dove cowered but she got the courage to speak up. I do... she mewed. Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this moment on, you will be known as Dovewing. StarClan honors you and we welcome you as a full warrior of AirClan. The stout she-cat who found Dovewing now was cheering 'Dovewing, Dovewing' and soon others were joining in. Now she is a proud warrior of AirClan and has a small ambition to be the medicine cat. |
