Warning: Sunrise spoilers below. If you want the book to be a surprise, I'd suggest not reading any farther.
Okay, for one, the Erin's made it to obvious that Leafpool was the mother xD I knew as soon as I finished the first book in POTT, and it was just clear that Crowfeather was the father. And then Hollyleaf goes and kills Ashfur...Why? Then she just goes and tells all the clans that Leafpool's a traitor, and gets Brambleclaw mad at Squirrelflight, and breaks Leafpools heart when Crowfeather yells at her. Oh course, Leafpool should have told him, so he had the right to be mad. Oh, and that was why she killed Ashfur. So that he wouldn't tell anyone. Then she goes and does it herself? Ashfur was so cool! *pout* And so, Leafpool resigns from being medicine cat, leaving poor Jayfeather to do the job alone. And you know what? They still haven't said what that friggen secret is Bluestar and Yellowfang keep talking about! Blah. And in the middle of all this, Honeyfern dies! Oh, and then Holleyleaf goes and burys herself in the tunnel, no one knowing if she's alive or dead. And so, I'll end my rant there I suppose xD Basically, I'm not liking Squirrelflight or Leafpool, and I'm about to murder Hollyleaf *pounds her* And now I'm impatient for The Fourth Apprentice to come out xD

im pretty sure bluestar and yellowfang were talking about how the 3 were leafpools kits and not brambleclaws
i think Jayfeather wanted to be a full medicine cat, just not for leafpool to die or anything. i bet erin will have leafpool come back to 'visit' in the next series......to tel the truth, ive never really liked hollyleaf, but i admit, that would be a horrible and somewhat pitiful way to die, if she did die.......
i think Ivypaw is the prophecied cat.

"Your secret has been like a maggot, eating away inside and apple. ThunderClan is rotten to the core-and more blood will be spilled before the truth comes out" *skips another part that doesn't matter*

From what I can tell from that, it seems like they're talking about something else, something that involves all of ThunderClan, like a thing that happened back before the first series. *shrugs* I dunno though, just my thoughts xD And yeah, I suppose so. I never liked Hollyleaf either xD She always makes me mad...ah well.
Really? I think it's Dovekit, cause that'd make all the prophesied cats with an animal as their prefix, Jay, Lion, and Dove.

*looks at her copy* It doesn't tell you...Mine just says 'Dovekit and Ivykit, kin of the great Firestar, are about to become apprentices. Soon, one sister will begin to have strange dreams, and will soon realize that she possesses magical skills unmatched by any other cat' and then there's more little things, but none of it says which one.

But wait! It must be Dovekit, cause the cat on the front of The Fourth Apprentice is grey, and if it were Ivykit, it'd be a tabby and white cat. So, since Dovekit's grey, it must be her.

Not unless they're trying to use reverse psychology on us by putting Dovekit on the cover, having us think it's her, when it's really Ivykit. Thats just a thought though, I don't want to confuse you guys. I really do hope it's Dovekit too, and you made a really good point Shatterstar by saying how it would throw off the animal theme if the chosen kit was Ivykit. I also hope that we can still continue in Jayfeather's and Lionblaze's POV in the next series.

Well, no one really knows yet, it's just predictions. Oh! I found another thing that leads me to believe it's Dovekit. If you remember in Long Shadows, when Jaypaw was with the ancient cats, what was his sisters name? Dove's Wing. So it'd make sense if she was the prophecied kit.
